Electrical Storage Scientist 

Resident in Canada since 1988 with engineering degrees from 2 UK universities and a business degree from Harvard.  Technical, Production and Commercial experience in large international companies in the automotive, steel and battery businesses.

Developed and supplied fully engineered advanced batteries for EVs in Detroit and Germany.  Conducted Detroit based DV test programs (performance, life and safety) for EV batteries based on VRLA, NiMH, NaS, NaNiCl2 and Li-ion technologies.  Integrated NaNiCl2 batteries for experimental buses and pilot utility load shifting schemes.   Particular interest in reliability and battery and vehicle safety which is a major issue for the introduction of new technologies.

Retired from executive roles and now operating as a consultant.
