Canadian, District Energy Association

Ms. Richardson's career in the oil, natural gas and electricity industries spans 28 years and includes roles in marketing and sales in North America.  Her responsibilities have ranged from legal and regulatory affairs to strategic and operational planning, conservation programming and stakeholder management.  Over the last seven years, Mary Ellen has held executive positions with both the Ontario Power Authority and the Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario. She currently works with the Canadian District Energy Association, Counsel Public Affairs and Queen's University as a Fellow of the Institute of Energy and Environmental Policy.  Additionally she works with a consortium of Ontario universities to develop an undergraduate program in Power Engineering to attract new recruits to district energy. She also sits on the board of ECO Canada.
