In October of this year Tim was appointed as the head of the Smart Grid Division for Siemens Canada Limited. Tim brings 12 years experience with Siemens most of which were spent with Siemens IT Solutions and Services and Siemens Energy, Transmission and Distribution Services.

Tim joined Siemens Canada in 1999 where he quickly assumed the role of Service Delivery Manager for IT service delivery to Siemens Canada. In his first 3 years at Siemens, Tim took on key customer facing roles including bid management and project management where he was tasked to grow Siemens IT outsourcing business. Tim worked closely with sales and delivery teams to create customer partnerships with AT&T Canada, Enersource, and Toshiba. In 2002 he moved to a operational role where he established the IT Service Desk outsourcing business for Siemens Canada and quickly grew this business to over 500 employees delivering for name brand customers including Enersource, Toshiba, Coca-Cola, EMC, and Microsoft.

With the formation of Siemens IT Solutions and Services (SIS) in 2006, he was appointed to the position of Director, Sales and Delivery for Canada. In this general management function, Tim was able to steer Siemens IT Solutions and Services Canada into two market segments of Media and Energy where Enbridge Gas and TransAlta became key customer partnerships in back office applications and operational IT application based solutions. 

From 2009 until October of this year Tim was able to build on his IT / Energy customer experience by taking on the role of Business Unit Head for T&D Services in Canada. The Siemens T&D Services team in Canada provides local solutions in the areas of complete substation equipment installation and repair, planning software (PTI), training, consulting and MDMR installation and integration for Canadian utilities and industrial clients.

Tim has a passion for leading teams, growing businesses, and is very excited about growing Siemens presence in the Canadian Smart Grid marketplace. Tim is married to his wife Meredith and has two children (Rebecca 6 and Dylan 3) and is actively involved in fundraising for local charities.
